The Role:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager within the hospitality industry to assist our Venue Manager in overseeing and driving the operations of the business in line with the company’s strategic plan. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will be assisting in optimising the company’s operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximise client satisfaction, and manage marketing initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating the day-to-day operations of our hospitality venues
- Help develop and implement effective operational plans and policies to optimise efficiency, productivity, and profitability
- Assist the Venue Manager in leading, motivating and develop a team of passionate hospitality professionals, ensuring high levels of customer service and staff engagement
- Help analyse key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing data-driven solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- 2 years or more in a supervisory/team leader role within the hospitality industry
- Proven track record of driving & managing a team towards meeting its objectives
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical capabilities, with a data-driven approach
- Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills
- Thorough understanding of hospitality industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
This role has growth potential past the Assistant Manager Role. It will ideally suit a full-time waitperson with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy restaurant who wants to step up into a future Assistant Manager role.
The successful candidate will be able to learn the ins and outs of a hospitality business and how to provide a professional yet casual service.
